the WAR: Understanding the truth

Tags:

The Western world is in decline, and we all know it and to a lesser extent all feel it. There is nothing we as consumers can do. If we have a look into the decline, we ofcourse can see it all started ’cause of the banks. They provided loans to people who clearly couldn’t repay them. With other words, they helped the sheep (M&S in Gevlons words) If you are in over your head, and take ANOTHER loan then I don’t care how hard you work, then your plain dumb.

The Goverments of various countries rescued the financial system by “donating” money to these companies. Which in turn we actually are paying. If you haven’t noticed yet every land, even US though they say they didn’t, raised taxes in one way or the other. Belgium raised taxes on non-economic cars and Diesel. Others raised taxes on homes etc etc.

So let uss recap:

  • M&S screws up – loaning too much-
  • Bank 1 saves them
  • Bank 1 goes down and Goverment needs to save them
  • People pay for the governments expense.

So if you are a quick thinker we are paying for the sheeps and multibillion companies the mistakes…

Now This isn’t the only way how we pay for the mistakes of mindless sheep.

  • welfare if they don’t work
  • welfare if they are new to the country and can’t speak
  • Welfare for as long as they are in the country even if they are illegal
  • Deporting them back to the country so that point 2 can recommence

Now there are other taxes that are completely useless

  • Taxes on cigarettes -  don’t I decide myself to smoke?
  • Taxes on gasoline – driving = bad? beybey economy…
  • Taxes on my house – I bought this land you @ssholes!
  • Taxes on electricity – seriously want to shut down the powersupply?

And so on… it literally keeps going. Taxes on so many diffrent things where the government shouldn’t lay a hand on.

Where does it go to?
Roads you say? hmm I thought I was already paying freaking roadtax… Not to mention tollboots…
Etc etc…some are indeed valid but I’m here to say where they go wrong.

Welfare: Don’t work? bad luck
Pensions: Save for it -_-
sheep that loaned too much…
The state’s employees dental plan… what the… Brush your teeth!
Etcetc

The decline that we are in right now can all be traced back to mindless sckers thinking they have they right to have everything while earning nothing, stimulated by the capatalism reasoning and stimulated by the goverment. The goverment not only does the above but they also rescue those that do the above.. and we the working people need to pay for it.

Even if you don’t agree with me do me this favor:
Open your eyes and see just how much you are paying the goverment a month. you’ll see that you give away 40-50% of your paycheck to them…
Thats not for you, thats for your neighbor who doesn’t do sh1t.
I have found a nice word for this: Robbery

  1. I agree on not helping those who screw themselves (On loan etc)

But Cigarettes, Gasoline, Electricity I had other thoughs
In economic we had something called Public goods and Common Good Problem, aka Externality.

Government should take care of that if market fail.
E.g. Cigarettes and Gasoline do not only affect the smoker or driver, but also affect people who breath (aka All people nearby).

Ofc you will be lesser willing to smoke at home if you had kid around. So are the other people on the street, Since we can’t ask smoker to pay for each breather to compensate their loss (by tolerating the polluted air), tax is introduced. By asking the smoker pay more, that decrease the willingness of smoking. (Which the cost is missed due to the transaction difficulties)
We forced the consumption of cigar to the natural equilibrium.

I guess I didn’t explain clearly in this session

  2. Of course you can do something: work less, therefore pay less tax. If everyone does that, the government cannot pay welfare.

Do you REALLY need that bigger car (aka Mammoth)?

BTW if the government gives you any kind of medical support, they have the right to tax cigarettes. Smoking is only your business if you pay your medical bills 100%.

  3. You may feel lucky.

Here in SPAIN, we are going to face and increase on a TAX that covers EVERY “ITEM” in the market… I mean, buy what you buy you are paying that TAX, now it’s a 16%… June 2010 it will be 18%, for (I repeat) EVERY FUCKING THING THAT YOU BUY…be it a 30.000€ car or a 0.10€ bubblegum.

  4. Anonymous, here in Belgium we pay 21% tax on EVERYTHING consumable!!! with some items only 6 and 12% but again EVERYTHING is taxed.

  5. It is still the question of freedom. The concept of increased taxes in order to redistribute wealth is the problem. Why should the government (a group of people with their own set of interests, primarily themselves) have any say in what each of us buys for our own personal use? Who is my government to tell me I can’t buy an SUV when I have 4 kids who I like to shuttle around? And a beautiful example of this is the fleet of corporate jets held at the ready for members of US Congress to jump aboard and fly around at my expen$e anytime they like. But DAMN ME for wanting to buy the kind of vehicle I might want because I can’t use “more than my fair share” of anything. To hell with anyone arguing such a point.

    And @Gevlon:

I’m disappointed in you. I had hoped you were better.

  6. Well if you realy want the answers look to history. In all of human history when people give power to a group or a person what eventualy happens. The group or person begins to take advantage for their own gains. In the US we have a system where people elect officials to certain offices. These officials are supposed to create laws that should protect and serve or better the citizens that elected them. However over time these officials that were elected created political parties which have slowly broken the system for their own gaines. The division of the congress into red and blue or republicans and democrats created fissures where parties began serving their own self intrest instead of that of the people that elected them. This is why washington stated political parties would be the end of democracy because of their inablility to work together and selfish policies. Politicians are the scum of america we elect them to help us make laws to protect us. Instead they create laws that protect stupidity and ignorance or that protect the intrest of corperations.

Im not sure of the proverb but teach give a man a fish he can feed his family for a day teach a man to fish he can feed his family for good. This applies to welfare america needs to reform its welfare laws to teach people how to get off of welfare and get a job not how to abuse it. What is worse is the people that are suppose to be filtering out canadites for government aid tell people how they can get by the hurtles to take advantage of the system even though they dont qualify.

The politicians in america need to clear out lobbyist the only lobbying should be from the senator or congress mans constitues. Elections shold not be funded by corperations or intrest groups they should be funded by private citizens. Currently corperations have the ear of most elected officials because of their donations. This should change officials should be asking citizens what do you need how can I serve you. Currently they say that is a concern but big tobbaco wants me to keep taxes low or marijuana illegal. Another group that have politicians more than their on constitues are intrest groups. These groups call for certain goals and are formed by citizens. However some such as Law enforcment should not push for certain laws to stay around just so their budget does. Which is why the drug war waged by the US sticks around is because the intrest of all the law enforcement departments in keeping their money instead of worrying about whats best for the country.

There is alot more to be said about our country but i have run out of time. If americas politicians would quit being world police and worry about its own citizens life could be better. However i wont hold my breath americas politicians have to keep a fight going or crysis to keep the public from realising all they are doing is wasting our money and arresting our kids.

  7. Government is there to check business from doing external damage. Hence why we have all the taxes. In addition taxes pay for public goods that can’t be left to business (see Enron for why this is true).

    @Gevlon
You ignore biology, and therefore are wrong, same as Marx.
