The New value of Frozen Orbs

Tags: , , ,

Europe got the patch yesterday! Sadly enough I didn’t have too much time to check it all out so I did the important stuff only. My warlock got 40K (!!) honor in marks, and my Shaman got 20x Frost lotus from the frozen orb trader…
And Gold twinkeled in my eyes!

first off let’s see what you can get with the frozen orbs:

Crusader Orb = 6 Frozen Orbs
Runed Orb = 4 Frozen Orbs
1 frozen orb = every eternal
1 frozen orb = Frost lotus

The price of these at my server are:
Frozen orb = 30ish gold
4 orb = 100G
6 orb = 160G
Eternals = 8-14G (depending on which)
Frost lotus = 35-50G

Now these are probably going to change a bit. Though dependent on the server, my guess is that the “higher quality” orbs, are going to fall down in price (25%ish) , the eternals will double in price for the first month then settle on 150% value and the frost lotus is going to drop 10% in price. That’s my prediction, but since we can’t look in the future I’m working with my current nrs.
Currently my Goldmaking tips are:
1: buy frozen orbs that are below 25 gold on AH.
2: trade them to frost lotus
3: sell those for 30-35 gold on the AH = profit

So as of this moment a frozen orb is worth 35Gold, this will change though, but then ofc I’ll let you know.

Great tip by Oxymustard:
Nice tip, I’d also like to give out a tip to your Alchemist readers. If you’re an alchemist or are still leveling you better hurry and make Potion Mastery your area of expertise. You sometimes make 4-5 flasks for the price of 2. With flask prices dwinling in the 25-30g area that could mean a 40-60g profit on a frost lotus + mats.

Getting ready for Christmas: farming

We all know Christmas brings around the sheep in WoW so here are the first batch of tips to get started!

Farming 1:
- Copper ore
- Wool Cloth
- Rune Cloth
- Rugged leather

Farming 2:
- small egg

Farming 1
why farm these mats? Well These are needed for the crafters, also be sure to sell them early since a lot of crafters are looking forward to making these as christmas just begins (before the war starts and prices fumble)
Out of the mats above you can make Green Winter Clothes and Winter Boots (Tailoring and Leatherworking accordingly)

Farming 2:
aaah yes the small eggs…. they are needed for the cookies baby! be sure to post them up for sale a day BEFORE the season is on us! since the others won’t be there by then and you’ll have the first few hours off and up for you, while everyone else is still farming for those eggs.
Don’t forget to buy some refreshing spring water with it and sell it all on the AH!

My recommended starting Buy out prices (before others post – that’s why you need to post these at least a day before the event starts!!!!)

- Copper ore — 50G for 5
- Wool Cloth — 25G for 10
- Rune Cloth — 50G for 10
- Rugged leather — 50G for 5
- Small Egg — 50G a piece

Don’t worry if there are some others still at 5 or 10G before the event, they will be bought out soon enough… (or you can buy them and repost them ppl!)

This is a quick and easy way to make money, just make sure you can start before the holiday event for the most profit and a few hours of near monopoly!

Friday eve’s Burnout Old sKool Raiding

Tags: , ,

For those that are tired of the same ways of making money. For those that want something completely else to do, for those that want something different.

How to make gold in a boring, suicidal, ludicrous or other way, this new installment will hopefully cheer you all up with prospects in the future!

Today: Old sKool Raiding!

Yes raiding lvl60 and 70 content, though for different reasons.
lvl60 raids and dungeons drop parts of the first ever made dungeon set and 3 of those (waist, hand and wrists) are BoE, now I know what you are thinking, but seriously they sell! and they sell for about 50-100G a piece, if you are lucky and run MC with 2-4 guys (3 is the best tbh, 2 makes some mechanics finicky) you can get dungeon set 2-3 wrists/belt. that was the first EPIC set and the wrists and belt again are BoE these sell for about 100-200G a pop. Now include this with about 100G you get from the raid itself + another 100G for core of earth, hearth of fires etc. and you get between 250 and 500G for a run of an hour, This isn’t the “best” way to make money but it is fun! if you want some old gear for your self (I got my full dungeon 1 set on my hunter) or want to get an achievement or just want some fun, this is a good way to make an extra buck

lvl70 dungeons/raids are yet again a bit different. These drop a lot of blue/epic BoP items so money doesn’t come from them, but the bosses drop about the double amount of gold, a lot of greens on trash and some misc’s all around. The money is about 200G if you are running with more 4 guys, about 250 when you run with 3.
Other reasons to run this content is to get some really really easy reputation. If you want to complete your skillbook this is another reason to run these things. (Don’t forget that those patterns etc, can make you money if your lucky) Or do you want a new mount? go for the impossible drops and get a phoenix, a horse, a raptor etc etc…

As said the money isn’t all that, but it still makes you a nice buck, and is guaranteed to push your skills if you only take a min. of persons.

So if you want some gold, some fun, some skill testing, some “bonding” in the guild/friends, suicidal runs (your a lvl60 running with 2 lvl80 guildies) or just want to tag along while bored. this is the place to go.

I’ll see you next week ready to go again!

100 Gold to 100K : Scribe’s Sanctum: 1-150

So Yesterday I started the Scribing bussiness. Well at least I tried….
Ari: Heralism: 300 ( ooh the grind, the grind! *horror*)
Ell: Inscription 150

Ell could’ve getten higher but I wasted enough time yesterday.
Now for the bad part:

Problem 1: 1-150: not many glyphs that are worth selling, or that sell for profit.
fe. kingsblood = 1.90G a piece = 38G for a full stack.
5 kingsblood = 2-3 usefull pigment x 5 = +/-12 pigment = 6 inks
6 inks = 3 x a two ink glyph or 6 x a one ink glyph. both of which only sell for about 4-7G…
so 6x 7gold = 42G okaj profit right?
42G – 10% AHcut = 37.8Gold
= LOSS

Problem 2: Even though I grinded most of the mats (so I can spend more money on the books of glyph) I still don’t have enough and will have to buy more to lvl and lose money, granted due to my grinding i only lost about 60G yesterday (including buying the 32slot- bags)

Problem 3: From what I see : most money is made with minor Glyphs at low lvl and highlvl glyphs from books. Which means I have to spend more money on getting the books since they are one of the few profitables.

Now my question for you guys:
How do you know your glyphs are making money with the goblin way? (with other words: severe undercutting)

Do you guys use the same formula as me (blue in the post)? or do you have another one?

Money Making: Jewelcrafting

Well after the changes to jewelcrafting (purple gems) I thought, okaj its short lived prices will drop soon enough and the money youll make of it will be nought to 3G a gem….

I was sooo wrong and I love it.

Right now the basic epic gem costs: 100-150G on my server. (most hanging around 120G)
So this is expensive but who cares if have some start capital.

The best thing to actually begin making money is get:
Red gem 130G: +spellpower
Yellow gem 110G: +hit rating
Green gem 145G: +Intellect and MP5
Orange 125G: +hit and spellpower
Purple 100G: +spellpower and mp5

I sell those for respectivly: 180;200;200;170;170 gold… I sell about 10 each day…
(well starting so hopefully)
so small math =
50G x10 = 500G
90G x10 = 900G
55G x 10 = 550G
70G x 10 = 700G
——-
2650G

so 2650G – 400G+/- (relists+ ah costs) = 2250G (give or take a few coins) profit a day!
Yes the 2.2K gold is profit… total money in = about 10K and more…
which also means to do this you’ll need about 10K gold…
ofcourse some of these gems have little competition so you can start in smaller nr.s on these.

The best tip I have for you before you start is the following: Start with 1 gem of each colors since the same color doesn’t exactly enlarge your profits, it just makes the chance to sell bigger.

starter: Selling sweet candy to a baby

Hey all,
Since the blog is becomming more popular, i’m getting quite a few mails and even tells ingame, off people who like the blog but don’t know how to get started… Almost all of them are lvl70+…
For uss it’s simple, we know the market, and know where the money lays but for a lot of people this isn’t so clear.
That’s why i’m giving you crafters a little layout today:
So today… i’m going to give you some info about what sells REALLY well and what doesn’t.
Though, i must say, that this is easier if you have the required proffession, you can do without.

Sweet sweet candy:
Flask of Endless Rage: i bought them yesterday for 22G each, listed 10 and 2h later they all sold (for 27G each) no brainer here, you can easily sell 10-20 a day for a nice price in the week/raiddays.
LegArmor: the highest leg armor (nerubian and jormungar) sell for about 45-55G at my server and the maths (2 of chiting or jormungar scales) cost 10G/20stack + 35G for borean leather. so that means : 35G + 1G (the 10G stack can be used 10times!) that you can have a profit of 9-16G! and they sell pretty well! (about 4 of each a day).
Heavy borean leather: hmmm this is sweet candy right here.. (at least on my server) have a look at normal borean leather, at my server its about 7G a full stack. while heavy borean leather = 120G(!) You need about 6 (i think) borean leather to get a heavy leather sooo. 20×6= 120 borean leathers for a full stack of the heavy one’s. so 6stacks at about 7G cost you: 42G… and you sell it for 120G! this is a nice profit and sells pretty well, ofcourse, you’ll dry out the AH if you do this every day. So be carefull!
Titanium bars… this is a buy by stack and sell by ones.. which can get you a decent profit and can be done for about 6-9 bars a day. pretty simple, not too much profit (about 1-2G a bar) but it gives you a steady stream of money.

It ain’t that sweet, but it sure ain’t a vegetable!
Transmutes: The long cooldown transmutes can get you some money, even just the mithril => Truesilver can get you a pretty penny! ofc, this can’t be done very often (cooldown and all)
Titansteel: i’ve looked at this and the maths here are higher then the bar, so at my server this can’t be done, but you should have a look at yours and see if it can get a nice penny.
Belt buckles: you are certain that these sell, and they can be worth a lot. though from what i see, is that they sell slowly (about 1-2 a day).
Glyphs: Once you are in, you can get wealthy fairly fast. the problem is… getting in. Greedy Goblin and JM2C both are in it, and look at their money: HUGE! problem though is getting their, whats making money in glyphs right now? the glyphs that come from books…. so before you can get rich, you’ll be poor once more. You need some Northrend glyphs that gives you an edge, even if someone else has it, you need to be able to control it. Once your in control its a safe haven to money, its just the getting there thats hard. (and for me not worth it)
JC: low lvl JC (lvl10-19) can give you some nice gold, even at those lvls about 1G profit for a necklace ain’t bad. higher lvl gems are also nice for profit though it’s a bit of a search when you first get there.
Spellthreads: well look at the beltbuckles, they sell for nice profit, just a bit slower.
Shoulders… Yes shoulders.. but only the first you can make.. and for tailors this goes with headgear too. They sell fairly fast, and for a small profit. so low lvl crafter and need some money? => make shoulders!
Enchanting: barking it over /2 is a fairly common tactic, add a bit of flavor and you’ll be selling some in no-time.
Scopes: good sellers (all of them) though they need some time.

eeeewwww Daddy, i don’t like no spinage

Low level armor kits aren’t sold .. if you have the maths for free and need to lvl up try it some time, i’m not getting this moved even if i gave money with them.
some scroll enchants, sell very badly too. have a look at what sells first. put up an enchanting scroll and see if it sells , if it doenst, don’t put it up again.
gear (requires engineering 150): is probably the worst seller out there, why? ’cause they can make it themselfs! maybe an enchanter would buy these, but you’ll have to go very low with the price, and you can wave byebye to your profit.

I think this is enough for now, test these tips, and let me know what sells for you.

for comments: anything i forgot, or that you say, this worked really well for me?
