flight over Outland

Tags:

So my druid dinged 60 this weekend, and I actually took the time to get Ari dressed in T9/10. Since the last Hard-core raiding I did was Ulduar, it was quite a challenge.

But we are here for gold right?
I remember that Ari had a lot of issues with mining in outland. Not necessarily lvling it in outland, but getting the last 3 points until I could mine in Outland… oooh Thorium how I hate you! So I when the druid dinged 60 I saw that my herbalism was 285.. leveling through dungeons makes it go fast, but leveling skills becomes more of a chore. So I spend an hour running around the plaguelands getting those last 15 points.

When I saw the first “golden samsan” in Outland I went like *oooh noes* that was a real noob moment of me. I should have checked it out first… but since mining was such a B*** I thought Herbalsim would be exactly the same….yeah…

If you *like* farming though a druid is probably the best class… EVER. No need to switch out of form, makes escaping from combat so much easier, herbing so much easier and *ninja* skinning is a breeze. In old azeroth it doesn’t really matter, since the 40% travelform is waaaayyy slower the then the 100% mount (even with the cast time) but in Outland druid farming really shines.

I got my Classic dungeon master yesterday, and hope to get the same one for outland. So cheer for me ok?

As we are talking about farming:
Felweed – 2G/piece
Mountain silvarege – 5G/piece
Dreaming glory – 3G/piece
So if you are tired of running HC’s or just want to spend an afternoon talking in Gchat while making money, go to Outland, and farm the mats there. free money while not paying attention.

Monday Morning Hangover: Question Time!

In the last 3 weeks orso I have been getting a lot of questions about professions. Today I’ll be awnsering the common ones for the broader public.

What are the best money making professions?

Tbh… everything. You can make money with everything. There are a couple ones that are better ofcourse. Tailoring/enchanting works really well, so does mining/JC, skinning/LW, herb/inscription. The best thing is to take one crafter, one gather proffesion untill lvl80 and make the things that give you a good (though slow) profit. Lill’ sparkys workshop can work wonders for that. Once your lvl80, work your way up to 420+ on the crafting prof. and drop the gather one. take up insc, jc or ench and start lvling it with the profit made from lvling it. once that is up to 400+ you’ll make triple money. proffesions that make good money from best to worst: JC, Ench, Ins, LW, Tailoring, mining, herb, skin, alch, BS, Eng.

Should I drop my gathering proffesion for a crafting one?

really depends, I would say yes but only if your first crafing is above 420. AND you have a nice stockpile of good/gold to lvl it further.

Should I take 2 gather professions while lvling?

Nothing wrong with that! I just don’t do it, because I don’t like to spend too much time on the side while questing/dungeoning. Yes, yes crafting takes time too. I usually gather all my mats, and after 10 lvls i go and use them all in one trek to lvl my crafting one. (while I’m afk watching some anime…hey that rhymes!..ahum)

What about engineering?

Engineering has some things that make money (bullets/arrows, bronze tubes for allaince, overcharged cap..) but most of the time it’s just fun, explosive and helpfull. My warlock has Engineering and he’s a walking timebom. DamiƤn is gearing for pvp, and the cloacks, rocket hands, bombs, etc make it easy to suprise my enemy’s and kick some ass. Also the mailbox and wherever you want auctioneer == great utility for bankers.

Thats it for todays questions, if you have more send them to seth.onecopper@gmail.com, twitter them or post them as a comment!
